Palisade’s own Colorado Mountain Winefest was voted the best wine festival in America by USA Today’s 10Best website, which enlisted a panel of wine and travel experts to nominate 20 contenders. Readers voted on the nominees for four weeks and selected Winefest as the best event. Now a nationally recognized, four-day event, the festival attracts nearly 7,000 attendees and more than 50 wineries. This year’s festival is September 14-17.
