Travelers of all ages are invited to explore the cultural heritage of Chicago in August. Led by Julia McHugh, curator of paleontology for the Museums of Western Colorado, travelers will learn about the Windy City’s architecture and other arts, tour Wrigley Field and discover the world of Al Capone and other infamous criminals. Additional planned activities include a behind-the-scenes tour with the museum staff at the Field Museum of Natural History, home to the Grand Valley’s own Brachiosaurus, excavated at Riggs Hill in 1900. The maximum number of participants is 14, with a minimum of seven required. The trip cost is $2,750 for museum members and $3,000 for non-members.
