Be a champion to our nation’s heroes

The Veterans Art Center (VAC) was the result of a vision, and that vision has flourished. Our mission has exceeded expectations since the organization’s founding five years ago—to heal veterans and their families from hidden wounds through art and art-related activities.

The staff and volunteers at the VAC and Operation Revamp, 307 S. 12th St. in Grand Junction, help veterans excel by providing peer support, alternative healing, crisis support, shelter and transportation. Programs and services are free to veterans and their families, and all of the needed supplies, equipment and expertise are included.

We proudly and successfully serve more than 800 veterans and family members of veterans each year. Veterans and family members log over 20,000 hours at the VAC annually.

The VAC is running low on space, as new veterans, tools and equipment arrive daily. With your help, we can continue growing and expanding our services to veterans in need. We have the opportunity to purchase property next door. The additional space and parking will provide veterans with better access to the center, more studio space, better readiness of supplies, upgraded storage for veterans, a kid’s art room and much needed healing space.

Create a lasting legacy and help our veterans heal. Contact the Veterans Art Center at 462-3126 to find out how you can be a champion to our nation’s heroes.
