Connecting us to the lands we love

Feb 28, 2018 02:04AM ● By Guest

Colorado West Land Trust is dedicated to preserving the incredible landscapes that surround us in western Colorado. Through our efforts, 120,000 acres have been conserved, from the Bookcliffs to the San Juan Mountains, from the Utah-Colorado border to Blue Mesa Reservoir.

One Riverfront was founded in 1985 to reclaim the banks of the Colorado River from decades of neglect. Currently, there are over 30 miles of public, recreational trails that can be accessed from several locations in Palisade, Grand Junction and Fruita, including the Riverfront Trail, a paved path that travels predominantly along the banks of the Colorado River.

RiversEdge West brings educational resources and expertise to rid riverside lands of invasive plants and restore natives like cottonwood and willow. In the Grand Valley, we are working to restore nearly 2,500 acres of land and have mitigated flood and wildfire risks to the community. Our efforts have created nearly 220 jobs for local contractors and at-risk young adults.

Your legacy will help us ensure the continued preservation and stewardship of local lands and/or rivers for future generations.
