Seven concerts for $70: Community Concerts gears up for 74th season with an exciting lineup
May 01, 2018 06:53AM ● By Cloie SandlinThe Glenn Miller Orchestra performed in CCGV’s most recent season.
“We’re very proud of the fact that we’re providing world-class entertainment to the Grand Valley for a very reasonable price,” said CCGV Co-president Bobbi Alpha.
Season ticket holders gain admission to seven quality concerts at Grand Junction High School for only $70— that’s $10 a concert!
Performers are part of a community concert circuit, which gives CCGV a break in paying for the travel and lodging.
In order to avoid competing with other local entertainment, CCGV sets itself apart by seeking out fresh acts and unique sounds to entertain audiences of all ages.
With a “good size” board made up of a diverse group of local residents, Alpha feels the lineups accurately represent the interests of concertgoers in the community.
“I think everyone on our board is just a true supporter of showing Grand Junction as much cool music as we can,” Alpha said.
CCGV brings more than just music to the valley. This year, it’s bringing an illusionist.
“We’ve never brought in a magician before, but his show looks fantastic,” Alpha said.
Another new attraction is that the last three concerts of the season are Sunday matinees.
“We do have requests for matinees because a lot of people in our group don’t want to drive at night,” Alpha said.
Season tickets are $70 for adults and $35 for students when purchased before July 1. Concerts are open seating and parking is free. Single show tickets are available in limited quantities and are $25 for adults and $15 for students.

But hurry! They always sell out.
