Bruce Talbott “I enjoy the fruit industry, and this is the place where it is viable. I enjoy some other places but we are more likely to be successful growing fruit here than anywhere else in Colorado. It’s also very beautiful.”

Rondo Buecheler “I enjoy living in Mesa County because of the diversity it offers for recreation. I ski at Powderhorn in the winter. I boat on the Colorado River in the summer. I bike on all the trails the Grand Valley has to offer, especially in Palisade and on the Mesa. It’s just a beautiful place that allows me to stay young longer. I also get to take my grandkids to do all these activities, so it’s a great place for intergenerational families.”

Jerry Brown “Fishing and hunting. It’s just a real good place to live. The southwest desert is a good climate.”

Jolene Langnes “I was in Kansas City and Denver, and there was so much traffic that it gave me such an appreciation for the valley. When people are here, they’re less stressed. They move slower. In the city, you get so busy. Here you have more time to actually participate in things.”

Steve Adams “I like the mountains, the skiing, the friendliness and the good music. I moved out here for school and moved around the west. My wife is from Colorado, so we eventually moved back.”
