Budget Blinds of Montrose-Telluride treats customers like family
If you’ve been thinking about transforming your home’s interior into something truly special, Budget Blinds of Montrose-Telluride can help.
The showroom at 1414 Hawk Parkway in Montrose is decorated with samples of the newest shades, window blinds and stylish home décor items from 50 or so vendors. Blinds come traditional, cordless and motorized with wireless controls.
Owners Cheryl and Dale Zahniser partner with interior designers in Crested Butte, Telluride and Montrose to find the right shade for every client and every budget. They also offer free installation.
“I’m very grateful for our installers,” Cheryl said. “They take time to visit with customers, especially seniors.”
While many of the company’s products appeal to seniors because of their flame-retardant finish and absence of lead, heavy metals and volatile organic compounds, the local franchise is most known for their unparalleled customer service.
“We care about our clientele and we are all family,” said office manager Makayla Ramos.
Both Colorado natives, the Zahnisers are committed to serving their community by creating a business that can serve generations of customers and supporting community outreach programs, such as Community Options, PACE and Volunteers of America.
“It takes all of us to make a community work,” said Cheryl. “We want our customers to know that we are a family-owned business and our focus is service.”
This special care and attention has paid off, as the Zahnisers opened a second franchise in Maui, Hawaii a year and a half ago. While they attend to the new store several times throughout the year, they’re happy to call Colorado home.
In addition to window coverings, Budget Blinds offers draperies, bedding, rugs and faux art pieces. They also sell outdoor awnings and can create custom pieces. Customers can also take home swatches of fabrics and colors to help them make the best decision on products that complement their décor.According to Cheryl, their most popular window treatment is honey combed shades, which are energy efficient and offer privacy. They also come with a sheer fabric to let in the light and a darker material to insulate against the cold. Roller shades are also coming back in style.
Every February, Budget Blinds has a once-a-year sale with a 5-10 percent discount that includes free shipping and handling and standard installation. For more information, stop by their showroom from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday or call 240-0099 to talk with a friendly staff member.
