BeaconFest Boomer & Senior Fair rescheduled for Wednesday, August 19, 2020
BEACON Senior News takes steps to ensure seniors’ safety from COVID-19 by postponing Colorado’s largest senior fair
In an abundance of precaution and to protect the health and welfare of older adults as it relates to the transmission of COVID-19 (coronavirus), BEACON Senior News is following Colorado Gov. Jared Polis’ executive order and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and has rescheduled its 20th annual BeaconFest Boomer & Senior Fair.
The new date is Wednesday, August 19, 2020, at Grand Junction Convention Center (formerly Two Rivers Convention Center) from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our sponsors, exhibitors and attendees. All exhibitor agreements will be honored at the new date. Our staff is notifying our sponsors, exhibitors and community partners about the change in date via phone calls and emails, and we are working to notify attendees through media sources, our website, paid advertising and social media.
“We are disappointed that we won’t be celebrating with our readers and advertisers in April, but we are committed to being part of the solution to the coronavirus pandemic. The welfare of our readers, staff and community partners is our top priority,” said BEACON Publisher Kevin VanGundy.
Volunteer of the Year nominees will be honored at the rescheduled show. New voting guidelines will be outlined in our April edition, which will be available in print and at www.BeaconSeniorNews.com on March 31.
We encourage all individuals to be vigilant about preventing the spread of all disease and infections and to follow the guidelines set forth by the CDC.
