The annual Colorado Honeybee Festival will take place April 11, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Cross Orchards Historic Site, 3073 F Road in Grand Junction. Formerly known as the Palisade International Honeybee Festival, the free, family-friendly celebration has spent 17 years educating the public about the importance of honeybees and other pollinators. Organizers moved the festival to Cross Orchards after outgrowing its downtown Palisade location. The event will include live music, food vendors, educational speakers, a bee costume contest, a spelling bee and vendor booths, with an expanded focus on Colorado-based honey and pollinator-related products. Shuttle service will be available from Grande River Vineyards in Palisade and Central High School in Grand Junction, along with onsite parking. Learn more at ColoradoHoneybee.org or 970-462-7236.
