As the final notes of its 81st season fade, Community Concerts of the Grand Valley (CCGV) is preparing for another year of nostalgia, energy and crowd-pleasing performances to the Avalon Theatre, with six concerts planned from September through April.

Last season featured a diverse lineup, including The Mexican Brass, The Waddington Brothers, The Bronx Wanderers, The She Gees, Next Generation Leahy and Live from Laurel Canyon.

Congratulations to Last Season's ticket winners!

The upcoming season opens September 24 with That ’70s Show, a tribute to hits like “Midnight at the Oasis,” “Bad, Bad Leroy Brown,” “Killing Me Softly” and “Tie a Yellow Ribbon.”

On September 30, Jazz That Rocks blends familiar favorites from the past five decades, including “Jazzman” by Carole King and “Feels So Good” by Chuck Mangione.

Vinyl to Vocal appears on October 29, an a cappella sextet whose harmonies take you on a ride through The Golden Era of Groove.

The series resumes February 3, 2027, with Americana Women, a quartet honoring influential female artists in country and folk. The program includes songs such as “I Will Always Love You,” “Heads Carolina, Tails California” and “Long Time Gone.”

On March 2, Sounds of Georgia traces decades of music from the 1920s through the 1990s, featuring artists like Ray Charles, Johnny Mercer, The B-52s and The Allman Brothers Band.

The season concludes April 11 with Piano Men: Generations, a high-energy tribute to Elton John and Billy Joel, featuring songs like “Piano Man” and “Rocket Man.”

Community Concerts has brought world-class performers to the Grand Valley for more than 80 years. A team of volunteers research, plans and presents a variety of acts, genres and musical styles to appeal to new audiences while continuing to serve loyal season ticket holders.

“We want to especially thank our sponsors for supporting music in the Grand Valley,” said Penny Jansen, president of CCGV. “The next season is possible because of them.”

Before its 82nd season begins, Community Concerts of the Grand Valley will present a free summer concert celebrating America 250 and Colorado 150. The Satin Dollz perform at 7 p.m. July 25, 2026, at the Avalon Theatre. Free tickets will be available starting June 4.

Season tickets begin at $80 plus fees, offering top-tier entertainment for less than $20 per concert. Season ticket purchases and renewals can be made by visiting or calling the Avalon Theatre box office at 970-263-5757.
