Mesa County Public Health has appointed Dr. Kathryn Spangler as its new medical director. Spangler, a Grand Junction High School graduate, spent the last seven years as a hospitalist at Intermountain Health St. Mary’s Regional Hospital, where she also served as associate chief hospitalist and interim medical director for St. Mary’s Medical Group. In her new role, she will help guide medical strategy, lead infectious disease responses and provide clinical oversight for reproductive health services and the Regional Laboratory.
