Canyon View Park tennis shelter honors Elliott family legacy

Grand Junction has dedicated the Canyon View Park tennis shelter to the Elliott family, recognizing their decades of support for the local tennis community. Community members, friends and family gathered recently to celebrate the family’s role in expanding the Canyon View Park tennis complex. Lena Elliott and her family championed the project through three phases, beginning with six courts in 1997. The latest phase brought high-end LED sports lighting to the existing 12 courts, allowing for extended play, and added four new courts for a total of 16.
