The Van Gundy group is sponsoring a Chili Cookoff to support Senior Engagement Mesa County. Stop by on December 14th between 4 - 6:30PM to taste/judge chili's made and submitted by their agents.

We are asking participants/community judges to bring an item (or several items) to support the needs of the Senior Engagement teams who are working hard on fulfilling holiday wish lists for nearly 2000 Senior Citizens and other at-risk adults currently living in facilities in Mesa County.

Here are some of the frequently requested items:

• hats
• gloves
• socks (both non-skid and regular)
• blankets
• pillows
• Chapstick
• candy - sugar free
• candy - fully leaded!
• large print puzzle books (crosswords, word search, etc.)
• large piece jigsaw puzzles
• larger fidget type toys for memory care patients
• Gift Cards - City Market, Walmart or the most asked for (any are appreciated!)
• Adult Coloring books with colored pencils
• Slippers & PJ's in various sizes are also requested.
