John Seebach, archeologist with CMU, will discuss recent research into the Paleoindian era with primary focus on western North America, including the wrangling over the dates at the White Sands footprint sites, how the Great Basin and Plateau are re-writing what we know about Paleoindian ethnicities, new insights from the Folsom sites of Middle Park, Colorado, and the Clovis caches and potential Paleoindian age of a small biface assemblage from Whitewater.
