For more than 30 years, Crossroads Fitness has offered locals a place to exercise and get fit. Besides programs for the young, the gym offers a lot for the young at heart.

Crossroads offers more than 300 group exercise classes, including small group training for three to five members that meet several times a week. The trainers design classes just for those students, who are held accountable for their progress. Seniors will find many programs and classes that are geared for them.

“Silver Sneaker classes include classic, cardio fit, yoga, circuit and a combo class,” said Paula Reece, Crossroads’ marketing director. “We also have dance-type classes such as Cardio Groove and Zumba Gold.”

Water exercise classes are a particular favorite among senior members, as are the yoga classes and the Just for the Health of It classes.

Crossroads Fitness is a preferred provider for many insurance programs, including Silver Sneakers and Silver & Fit.

Crossroads offers seniors a variety of activities besides workouts. Silver Program Administrator Jutta Solano organizes quarterly social events and more.

“Our top priority is and always has been the member experience,” Reece said. “Our mission is to provide quality equipment, follow current fitness trends, and maintain a clean, comfortable atmosphere for club members to enjoy the benefits of regular exercise.”
Owner Dale Reece is committed to serving the community by improving and updating the facilities, and he strongly believes in giving back through donations, participation and service.

But that’s not all that makes the facilities special. The Crossroads Fitness team values relationships and the individuality of each member. Staff find creative ways to inspire and motivate participants through seminars, challenges and events.

Both Crossroads locations offer special discounts and memberships for seniors, who may join on a month-to-month membership instead of committing to a contracted period. Seniors who want to take a few months off are not charged when they’re absent—good news for snowbirds.

Staff are always happy to show visitors around both facilities and explain the programs. When new members join, they receive a free “Getting Started Program” to familiarize them with the facility. More information and class schedules can be found at www.crossroadsfitness.com.
