Julie Silber, an internationally known quilt appraiser with 35 years of experience, will present a lecture and trunk show of historic quilts as part of Sunset Slope Quilters Guild’s monthly meeting on May 9 at American Lutheran Church. Visitors must pay a $10 fee.

On May 10, Sunset Slope Quilters will host a workshop at the Clarion Hotel from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The workshop is open to nonmembers and costs $62, which includes lunch. For reservations or information, call 263-4473.
