Explore and celebrate the power of reading and engage with the list of America’s 100 best-loved novels, as chosen in a national survey, during the Great American Read. Visit libraries, play Book Bingo, share your book reviews, or take the quiz to see how many books you’ve read.
“The Great American Read” is also an eight-part series on Rocky Mountain PBS that airs Tuesdays at 7 p.m. September 11-October 30 and explores and celebrates the power of reading. The series investigates how and why writers create their fictional worlds, how we as readers are affected by these stories, and what these 100 different books have to say about our diverse nation and our shared human experience.
Mesa County Libraries hosts two discussion groups where people can share their favorite book from the Great American Read at 6:30 p.m. on June 17 and 11 a.m. on June 20. Registration is required. To register or for more information, call 243-4442.
